Examination Rules
TESTS/EXAMINATION & PROMOTION
1. To assess the progress of each student in the various subjects and to facilitate an intense study of all the subjects, the performance of the students will be tested in Periodic Tests, Half Yearly and Annual Examinations, and syllabus based activities.
2. All the tests and examinations are compulsory. The students are not allowed to remain absent on any grounds other than being medically unfit. Parents are advised not to fix medical appointments etc. on the days of examination/fees.
3. Any student remaining absent from any test or examination without valid medical grounds will be awarded zero.
4. If a student is medically unable to take his/her test/exam, a medical should be furnished. The child then shall not be awarded zero for that subject. It shall be treated as N.A.(not applicable)
5. Students with attendance below 90% of the working days, shall not be eligible to appear for the Annual Examination.
6. Admit card, after clearing all the dues, should be collected from the office to be eligible to appear for the Half Yearly & Annual Examinations.
7 In case a child is caught using unfair means in any of the tests/examinations, he/she shall be awarded a 'zero' in that particular subject.
8. There shall be no re-examination of any test in case of absenteeism of any consequences.
9. The pass percentage for each subject is 40%.
10. Answer scripts of Half Yearly Examination will be shown to the students.
11. Answer scripts of the Annual Examination shall not be shown. The results declared at the end of the academic year shall be final.
12. In case a child wishes to see his/her answer sheet of the Annual Examination, a charge of Rs. 100/- per subject shall be levied.
13. All promotions are decided by the Principal in consultation with the teacher at the end of the academic year. Promotion is granted on the basis of the grades/marks obtained in the tests/ examinations as well as the general performance during the entire year. In deciding the promotion of a student, the grades/marks of all the examinations shall be taken into consideration.
